Takeshobo Launches Manga Life Storia Manga Magazine

Magazine to feature short story from Bunny Drop's Yumi Unita, Recorder and Randsell spinoff

Takeshobo, publisher of the 4-koma manga magazine Manga Life, will launch a special edition magazine called Manga Life Storia on March 29. The new magazine will publish narrative stories and is planned for a quarterly release.

The magazine will feature new short stories by Bunny Drop creator Yumi Unita and Bono Bono creator Mikio Igarashi. The magazine will also include spinoff stories for the following works:

  • Sparrow's Hotel by Yuka Santō
  • Dōbutsu no Oshaberi (Animal Talk) by Akira Shinsenji (pictured at right)
  • Recorder and Randsell by Meme Higashiya
  • Chiichan no Oshinagaki (Chiichan's Menu) by Masakazu Ooi
In addition, Takayuki Mizushina's Pink Sora Ringo (Pink Sky Apple) manga will move from Manga Club Original to Manga Life Storia.

JManga is releasing Higashiya's Recorder and Randsell and Igarashi's Bono Bono manga in English. Yen Press is publishing Unita's Bunny Drop manga in North America. Both Recorder and Randsell and Bunny Drop have received television anime adaptations.

Santō's Sparrow's Hotel manga is also getting a television anime adaptation.
