Adaptation of FLIPFLOPs' Nekogami Yaoyorozu manga to get June BD release

NIS America (NISA), the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software game company, confirmed with ANN on Thursday that it will release the The Everyday Tales of A Cat God (Nekogami Yaoyorozu) anime series on Blu-ray Disc on June 4. NISA's release will include the 12-episode television series and a one-episode OVA on two Blu-ray Discs with Japanese audio and English subtitles. The release feature seven mini episodes, a 32-page hardcover art book featuring character information, illustrations, and a story guide, and a clean opening and ending. The premium edition release will retail for US$64.99.

Director Hiroaki Sakurai (Cromartie High School, Di Gi Charat) and the studio AIC adapted FLIPFLOPs' Nekogami Yaoyorozu "neighborhood deity comedy" manga of the same name.

The story follows a cat goddess (nekogami) named Mayu-sama (Haruka Tomatsu) who lives at Yaoyorozu-dō, an antique shop run by Yuzu Komiya (Yui Horie). Unexpected visitors in the form of other goddesses stop by the antique shop. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in 2011.
