Sayaka Mogi's Horror Manga Pupa Has Anime in the Works

The "Earth Star Anime Matsuri" event at Anime Contents Expo announced on Sunday that an anime adaptation of Sayaka Mogi's Pupa manga is in the works.
The "life-and-death sibling" story follows Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa, a boy and his little sister who find themselves all alone. One day, Yume sees a mysterious red butterfly and her body undergoes a strange metamorphosis — into a creature that eats humans. Utsutsu struggles to find a way to restore his sister.
Mogi launched the manga in the inaugural issue of Comic Earth Star magazine in 2011, and Earth Star Entertainment published the third compiled book volume this past January.
