Saint Seiya CG Film Now Slated for 2014

Last Wednesday, Japanese studio Toei Animation reported its financial results for the fiscal year ending in March 2013. In the results, Toei lists the full-CG film Saint Seiya the Movie with a planned 2014 opening.
Toei Animation chairman Kōzō Morishita had said at the MIPCOM trade event last October that he was hoping that production on the film will be completed in July 2013. Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny, Ashura), is helming the project, and Tomohiro Suzuki, a scriptwriter for six episodes of Tiger & Bunny, is writing the screenplay. The film is listed as the new "Masami Kurumada Project," and Kurumada, the original creator of the Saint Seiya mythological fantasy manga, is credited for the original story.
