Anime Expo to Host Urotsukidoji Creator Toshio Maeda

Anime Expo announced on Friday that it will host manga creator Toshio Maeda (Urotsukidoji, La Blue Girl) as an industry guest during the July 4-7 event in Los Angeles. Maeda will host a panel on July 4 and sell original art and illustrations from his works at the convention.
Maeda, a self-proclaimed "tentacle master," is considered one of the most influential erotic manga artists of the 1980s and 1990s. He writes hentai manga both for men and women. Many of his works, including Urotsukidoji, La Blue Girl, Demon Beast Invasion, and Adventure Kid, have received anime adaptations.
Previously announced guests of Anime Expo include Good Smile Company president Takanori Aki, Sanzigen founder Hiroaki Matsuura, Max Factory CEO Max Watanabe, Precure singer Aya Ikeda, Production I.G founder Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, producer Nobuhiro Kikuchi, director Kazuchika Kise, Japanese rock band Porno Graffiti, Attack on Titan producer George Wada, Kick-Heart director Masaaki Yuasa, voice actress Megumi Han, animation director and character designer Keigo Sasaki, voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue, screenwriter Mari Okada, character designer Noizi Ito, visual kei musical acts Kaya and Moon Stream, and director Kazuhiro Furuhashi. Host Danny Choo, DJ RAM RIDER, cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, and voice actors Eric Vale, Christopher R. Sabat, Kyle Hebert, and Johnny Yong Bosch will also attend.
