The official website for the Uchōten Kazoku (Ecstatic Family) anime revealed on Wednesday that the series' first Blu-ray Disc volume will include English subtitles. The anime's first DVD volume will not have English subtitles.

The anime's first Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes will bundle a drama CD and eight-page booklet and ship for 5,040 yen (about US$50) and 3,990 yen (US$39), respectively, on September 25.

The anime will premiere on July 7 at 10:00 p.m. on the Tokyo MX TV, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV stations.

The comedy drama is set in Kyoto, where humans, tanuki (shape-shifting raccoon-dogs), and tengu (long-nosed goblins of Japanese folklore) intermingle. In the Shimogamo family of tanuki, Yasaburō lives for whatever strikes his fancy at the moment.
