Girls & Panzer Meets World of Tanks Game in Video

Online war game began service in Japan earlier this month

A promotional video for the collaboration between the World of Tanks video game and the Girls und Panzer anime was unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show 2013 event on Sunday. The online game began service in Japan on September 5.

Belarus-based online gaming company Wargaming.net announced the collaboration between the anime in July. Manga artist Midori Hagi penned a tutorial manga featuring the anime's girls to assist new players.

World of Tanks is a massive multi-player online action game that launched in Russia in 2010. Players engage in tank battles based on armored warfare in the mid-20th century. Currently, there are over 500,000 players worldwide.

ACTAS and Tsutomu Mizushima's Girls und Panzer television anime series debuted last October and was streamed in several regions outside of Japan by Crunchyroll. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video distribution in North America later this year.
