The official website for the Recently, my sister is unusual television anime series announced on Wednesday that the series is changing timeslots on the Tokyo MX TV and Sun TV stations, starting with episode 5. Before, the anime aired every Saturday at 10:30 p.m. on both stations. Tokyo MX will now air the series on Tuesdays at 25:30 (effectively, Wednesdays at 1:30 a.m.) Sun TV will now air the series on Saturdays at 26:00 (effectively, Sundays at 2:00 a.m.)
The day before, the media watchdog group Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO) reported on the anime on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. The 153rd meeting of BPO's youth committee said:
The Recently, my sister is unusual anime has received many complaints from the audience such as, "The anime, despite being scheduled in the 10:00 p.m. timeslot that possibly allows junior high and high school kids to watch, aired with scenes which include sexual depictions, such as a high school girl masturbating." The committee has viewed and discussed the program. Then, it has decided to put the program under inquiry. Although the program is produced by its production committees, Tokyo MX and Sun TV, which scheduled the program at the 10:00 pm timeslot, will be the subject of the inquiry.
