Narrator: 2022: That was the year that a single researcher created a game in which players could not escape until they cleared it. It was a Death Game where Game Over equaled death. An online game in which approximately 10,000 players were trapped alive...
Philia: Kirito, what is it that you want to do?
Text: This is a video game... But not a game.
Lisbeth: This is just PKing!
Philia: I'm sorry... I'm sorry!!
Kirito: I won't forgive you!
Narrator: This is the story of a boy and girls who met in a trapped world.
Philia: Kirito, you were really a hero. You are... my hero.
Narrator: We continue to live in an empty world with no end in sight...
Dengeki Online is also previewing more screenshots for the game, including images of the girls as they sleep beside Kirito.
By exploring the 76 cities in Aincrad, players can pick up new friends and party members for their adventures. Kirito can also deepen his relationship with his partners by hanging out with them in the cities, going out on dates, or holding hands. The game will include characters Asuna (Haruka Tomatsu), Lisbeth (Ayahi Takagaki), Silica (Rina Hidaka), Yui (Kanae Itō), Leafa (Ayana Taketatsu), Shinon (Miyuki Sawashiro), Strea (Sachika Misawa), Sachi (Saori Hayami), Kibaou (Tomokazu Seki), and Argo (Shiori Izawa). A new, original character named Philia (Yui Ishikawa) will play an integral part in the game's plot.
In the game's special "adventure mode," players have the option to create their own characters and play with up to eight other people online to go on quests in the Hollow Area.
