Novel illustrator Kantoku announced on Tuesday that he is still in the hospital for the recurrence of his pneumothorax condition. He wrote that so far this year he has already spent a month in the hospital. Kantoku noted that because of this he will no longer release the new book that he had planned to release at the "COMIC 1☆8" dōjinshi event at the Tokyo Big Sight event hall on May 29. Kantoku apologized to his fans who were waiting for the book and said he will continue to post updates in the future.
Kantoku revealed in March that due to his poor health, Kadokawa's Media Factory Bunko J imprint was delaying two books. MF Bunko J delayed novelist Sou Sagara and Kantoku's eighth Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko. (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat. or Henneko) light novel volume and the Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko. Kantoku confirmed in his most recent blog post that both books will still go on sale on April 25 as planned.
Sagara's original light novel series inspired a television anime series last April. Crunchyroll streamed the anime into several countries as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North America.
