Outlaw Star and Fairy Tail Released Monday

On Monday June 2, Anime Limited will release a remastered DVD edition of the 26-part series Outlaw Star (right). The space opera ran on Japanese television in 1998, produced by Morning Star Studios. The series related the adventures of Gene Starwind, his young partners "Jim' Hawking, and their various allies, after they discover the titular spaceship Outlaw Star. The director was Mitsuru Hongo (Shamanic Princess, Sakura Wars: The Movie, Reideen) and the series features mecha designs by veterans Junya Ishigaki (Macross Frontier, Mobile Suilt Gundam Wing, Angelic Layer) and Shōji Kawamori (Macross Plus, Eureka 7, Super Dimension Fortress Macross).
Anime Limited will also release a reconfigued DVD edition of Cowboy Bebop (pictured left). The company announced in May that it had run out of stock of its DVD Collectors Edition. The new DVD edition will consist of four discs in a plastic case with a reversible cover. There will also be a reconfigured Blu-ray edition, which Amazon UK says will be released on June 23.
Also on Monday, Manga Entertainment will release a Blu-ray edition of 'Collection 2' of Fairy Tail (right). This will carry episodes 25 to 48 of the fantasy-action series.
