Spice & Wolf novelist to attend Anime Expo as company's special guest

Video game and visual novel localization company Sekai Project announced at its panel at Sakura Con on Saturday that it has licensed Denneko Yugi's Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler (Seiju no Kishin, pictured at right) dōjin role-playing game. The company also confirmed with ANN after the panel that it has also licensed the Shizuku no Oto horror game.

Additionally, the company revealed that Spice & Wolf light novel author Isuna Hasekura will be a special guest of Sekai Project's at this year's Anime Expo in Los Angeles from July 2-5. Hasekura also wrote the three-part visual novel game World End Economica. The three parts launched in Japan in 2011-2013, and Sekai Project released the first episode in English on Steam last year.

Hasekura's Spice & Wolf light novel series has inspired a manga and two television anime series. Yen Press is releasing both the light novel series and manga series in English, and Funimation released both TV anime series on home video.

Sekai Project describes the story of Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler:

As a field researcher, Cram Lanvelouche is regularly sent out to excavate artifacts from the Old World, called "Attributes". As he searches for the legendary Attribute, the "Machina", he unearths a conspiracy that could threaten the existence of all humans on the planet.

The company noted that it has finished translating the game and that it will work on editing and game testing soon.

aiueoKompany's Shizuku no Oto horror adventure game takes place at an aquarium. The aquarium with giant fish and a starry sky of jellyfish has had some unsettling rumors: that it is a "red aquarium" with human-faced fish, ghosts, and human souls shaped like jellyfish who swim in its tanks. The rumor is spreading specifically among female middle school students, and close friends Mayumi Nakanobe and Himeno Tamagawa decide to visit the aquarium. Soon, they get caught up in the bizarre phenomena happening at the aquarium.

Sekai Project also revealed that it plans to release The Fruit of Grisaia on Steam in late April to early May. Additionally, the company plans to also release Kokonoe Kokoro and Love at First Sight: Hitomebore in late April to early May.

Sekai Project also revealed that it has licensed Team ANAGO's Korean boys-love mystery adventure game November Boy. Sekai Project will reveal more information about the game at a later date.
