5th episode to premiere this fall

Sunrise producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi announced at the premiere of the Code Geass: Akito the Exiled anime project's third episode, "Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Otsu," at the Shinjuku Wald 9 on Saturday that the project will have a fifth episode. Code Geass: Akito the Exiled was originally slated for four episodes.

The script for the fourth episode has been rewritten to incorporate the fifth episode, and so the episode is being redubbed.

The fifth episode will be titled "Itoshiki Mono-tachi e" (To Those Who are Precious), and is slated to premiere this fall.

The fourth episode, "Nikushimi no Kioku Kara" (From the Memories of Hatred), will premiere on July 4. The second episode of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled premiered in September 2013, and the third episode was scheduled to premiere last spring, but it was delayed until May 2.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion premiered in Japan in 2006, while Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 premiered in 2008. The Adult Swim network aired both series in North America in 2008.
