posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
PlayStation 4 game slated for July 28

Bandai Namco Entertainment streamed four promotional videos for The IDOLM@STER: Platinum Stars PlayStation 4 game over the past week. Each video focuses on a different character and song.

Takane Shijō, "edeN"

Chihaya Kisaragi, "Happy!"

Yayoi Takatsuki, "The Live Kakumei de SHOW"

Haruka Amami, "Happy!"

The game is slated for release on July 28. Those who pre-order the game will receive a product code for the PS4 menu featuring art of all 13 idols of 765 Pro. Those who purchase the game through Bandai Namco Entertainment's LalaBit online store will receive the "Lala Rabbit Income" digital item, which adds rabbit ear accessories to the characters.

Both the standard and digital download editions of the game will cost 8,200 yen (about US$74), while the "Platinum Edition" will cost 12,400 yen (about US$112). The game's "Platinum Edition" will contain a Platinum Stars All-Star concert pamphlet, the "Lisani! Live 2016" vocal CD, a calendar, six "photos" of the 765 Pro idols, a picture frame, a product code for the "Antique Star" in-game costume, and a special box with exclusive art of the 13 idols. First editions of the game will include product code for a "twinkle star" theme for the PS4. The downloadable version will bundle a "campware" theme.

The game centers around 13 aspiring idols who leave the safe confines of their agency office to train at a camp. The player produces a selected number of them and nutures them through live concerts and other events. As they gain fans, they rise in the rankings. Their goal is "Extreme Live," an extraordinarily big event for idols, as they "unleash a sparkling wave!"
