Pokémon Sun & Moon Games Get Manga in September

The Pokémon Company Japan announced on Monday that a new Pokémon Sun & Moon manga will begin in the October issue of Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics on September 15. Tenya Yabuno (Inazuma Eleven, Digimon V-Tamer) is drawing the series.
A preview of the manga will run in the September issue of the magazine on Friday. The preview shows the protagonist, a boy named Akira, setting off on an adventure in the Alola region with his partner Rockruff (Iwanko).
The Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games will debut on Nintendo 3DS in Japan and North America on November 18, followed by Europe on November 23.
The latest Pokémon Nintendo 3DS games, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, had two concurrent manga adaptations that ran for a few months in Coro Coro Comicsi in 2014. Then, Satoshi Yamamoto and Hidenori Kusaka began an Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire arc for their Pocket Monsters Special (Pokémon Adventures) manga on Shogakukan's Web Sunday digital manga website.
