The official Twitter account for the Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 game announced on Saturday that the game will get a stage play adaptation in December 2018 in Tokyo and Osaka. Hideyuki Nishimori is directing and Fumi Tsubota is writing the script.
Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de stage plays. Nishimori also directed and wrote the script for this year's stage play adaptation of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 Gentō Rondo (pictured right), which opened from May 4-10.
KOEI released Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 for PlayStation 2 in 2004, and released an "Ultimate" port for PlayStation Vita this past February. The game inspired two television anime specials: Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Kurenai no Tsuki and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Owari Naki Unmei.
KOEI's Harukanaru Toki no Naka de romance adventure game franchise has inspired a number of game follow-ups, original video anime, and manga. The 2004-2005 television anime Haruka: Beyond the Stream of Time – A Tale of the Eight Guardians is based on the first PlayStation game. Bandai Entertainment previously released the television anime in North America, and it is now streaming on Tubi TV.
