Final Fantasy XV Director: Team Wants to Make Something for Switch

posted on by Karen Ressler

Game director Hajime Tabata teased Final Fantasy XV content for the Nintendo Switch console in a Twitch livestream from Gamescom 2017 in Germany. When answering a question about plans for the future of the franchise, Tabata answered:

There's another certain console out there people may be thinking of, sounds a little bit like you guys, your name "Twitch," I think we'll just leave it there... Everyone on the Final Fantasy XV team, they love this specific console that sounds a lot like Twitch, they may want to think something about that in the future.

Square Enix already announced a Windows PC version of Final Fantasy XV, as well as a smartphone and PC game titled Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition at Gamescom this week.

Final Fantasy XV went on sale worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last November.
