YouTuber duo SkyPeace announced on Tuesday that they are performing the new opening theme song for the The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu) anime. The new opening will debut on April 14.
The pair's announcement video features a short voice clip of Ban and Meliodas discussing the new opening theme song. Meliodas notes that, as YouTubers, they frequently take on food challenges, and Ban asks if they will try Meliodas' food.
The season premiered in Japan in January. FLOW and GRANRODEO collaborated on the first opening theme song.
Nakaba Suzuki's original manga inspired a 24-episode television anime series that aired in 2014 and 2015. Netflix later streamed the series with both English and Japanese audio, and Funimation released the series in two parts on home video. A four-episode television anime special titled The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- then premiered in August 2016. Netflix began streaming the series in February 2017. An anime film titled Gekijōban Nanatsu no Taizai Tenkū no Torawarebito (The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky) will premiere on August 18.
