Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 12 ranked at #1 on NPD BookScan's Top 20 adult graphic novels list for April. The previous three volumes also ranked at #1 in their respective debut months.

This month's list featured eleven manga volumes including:

  • #4 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re volume 4
  • #6 — Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan volume 24
  • #8 — Akira Himekawa's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess volume 3
  • #11 — Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 1
  • #13 — Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 11
  • #15 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re volume 3
  • #16 — CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card volume 3
  • #18 — ONE and Yuusuke Murata's One-Punch Man volume 13
  • #19 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re volume 1
  • #20 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul volume 1

Viz Media's release of Homestuck Book 1: Act 1 & Act 2 ranked #17.

The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart.com, and some other venues.

NPD BookScan announced in September it plans to add in sales numbers from comic book stores in partnership with Diamond Comics and indie retailers in the coming year, but hasn't yet revealed a specific date the change will take place.
