High School DxD Born Released Monday

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Also, DVD collection of the three Initial D: Legend films, Blu-ray collection of the fourth season of Dragon Ball Z

On Monday February 22, Manga Entertainment will release High School DxD BorN on Blu-ray and DVD. Manga described the series:

"Issei and his harem of hotties are back to take on their biggest, boldest, bounciest adventure yet as they fight to prevent Ragnarok aka the end of the underworld."

This is the third anime season of High School DxD. The original light novel series, written by Ichiei Ishibumi with Miyama-Zero's art, centres around Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei's campus.

MVM will release a DVD collection containing the three films Initial D Legend 1: Awakening, Initial D Legend 2: Racer and Initial D Legend 3: Dream.

The film trilogy retells the beginning of the story from Shuuichi Shigeno's original car-racing manga, Initial D. High school student Takumi Fujiwara works as a gas station attendant during the day and a delivery boy for his father's tofu shop during late nights. Little does he know that his precise driving skills and his father's modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina's highway. Because of this, racing groups from all over the Gunma Prefecture issue challenges to Takumi to see if he really has what it takes to be a road legend.

Manga Entertainment will also release a Blu-ray collection of Dragon Ball Z Season 4, carrying episodes 108 to 139 of the series.
