Netflix Streams InuYasha: The Final Act Anime in India on March 25

Anime season based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga premiered in Japan in 2009

Netflix is listing InuYasha: The Final Act anime for release in India on March 25.

Netflix describe the anime:

Inuyasha, Kagome and their crew cross the last frontiers in their quest to end Naraku's evil reign and quash the bad karma of the Jewel of Four Souls.

The anime premiered in Japan in October 2009. The show continues beyond where the first anime series ended and adapts the story from the final 21 compiled book volumes of Rumiko Takahashi's original manga. The original staff and cast returned for the sequel, and the musical acts Do as Infinity and AAA performed the "Kimi ga Inai Mirai" ("A Future Without You") opening theme song and the "With you" ending theme song, respectively.

The original 167-episode anime series is based on Takahashi's manga, and it ran from 2000-2004. The series has inspired four movies and a 30-minute anime short. Viz released the anime on Blu-ray Disc.

Takahashi launched the original manga in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1996, and ended it in 2008. Viz licensed and published all 56 volumes of the manga in English.

Netflix is also streaming the first part of the Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Han'yō no Yasha Hime) anime spinoff of the franchise. The anime premiered in Japan in October 2020 and ran for 24 episodes. Hong Kong content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited's Ani-One YouTube channel streamed the anime in India as it aired in Japan.
