Kids'WB leads with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! as Top Broadcaster

Kids WB's three new series from Warner Bros. Animation, the highly anticipated Loonatics Unleashed, Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island and Johnny Test, took the #1 ranked spots among key demographics, leading the network to a powerhouse launch of the 2005-2006 broadcast season. The network kicks-off the new season as the #1 kids' broadcaster, with returning hits: the Emmy Award-winning Xiaolin Showdown and The Batman, also from Warner Bros. Animation, along with Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, also taking top ranking broadcast posts.



The all-new Looney Tunes-inspired series Loonatics Unleashed captured Kids WB's audience as the #1 broadcast series among the key demo of Kids 2-11 (2.7/11), tying zany comedy Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island. The high-action adventure series also took the #1 broadcast spot in Girls 2-11 (2.6/10) and the #2 spot in Boys 2-11 (2.9/11), Kids 6-11 (3.3/13), Boys 6-11 (4.1/16), tying Xiaolin Showdown in all three demos (2.9/12, 3.3/14, 4.1/16, respectively), and #3 in Tweens 9-14 (3.5/16), tying action-adventure Johnny Test.



The new comedy-adventure series Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island led the network as the #1 broadcast series for the morning in the key demos of Kids 2-11 (2.7/11), Kids 6-11 (3.6/15), Boys 2-11 (3.1/13) and Boys 6-11 (4.6/19), and ranked #2 broadcast series in Girls 2-11 (2.4/9) and Tweens 9-14 (3.7/19). The series ranked as the #1 series among all competition, including cable, in Male Tweens 9-14 (5.4/27), tying Xiaolin Showdown (5.4/26).



The new action extravaganza series Johnny Test gave viewers a wacky experiment adventure, taking the #3 overall spot, including cable, in Tweens 9-14 (3.5/16), tying Loonatics Unleashed, and the #3 broadcast spot in Kids 2-11 (2.5/10), tying Xiaolin Showdown (2.5/11). The series ranked among the top five broadcast spots in Kids 6-11 (3.2/13), Boys 2-11 (2.8/12), Boys 6-11 (3.8/16), Girls 2-11 (2.2/9), Girls 6-11 (2.6/10) and Female Tweens 9-14 (2.1/10).



Emmy Award-winning hit Xiaolin Showdown dominated all competition, including cable, to rank as the #1 series for the morning in Tweens 9-14 (3.8/20) and Male Tweens 9-14 (5.4/26), tying Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island (5.4/27). The action-comedy-adventure series took the #2 broadcast spot in Kids 6-11 (3.3/14), Boys 2-11 (2.9/12) and Boys 6-11 (4.1/16).



Returning hits, Emmy Award-winning The Batman, as well the latest installments of Pokémon - Advanced Battle and Yu-Gi-Oh! Grand Championship also assisted in leading Kids WB to dominate all broadcast competition, capturing posts among the top 10 programs in Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11, Girls 2-11, Girls 6-11 and Female Tweens 9-14, while ranking among the top 10 overall programs, including cable, in Tweens 9-14 and Male Tweens 9-14.



For the morning, Kids WB outperformed the broadcast competition among the key demos of Kids 2-11 (2.2/10), Kids 6-11 (2.9/13), Boys 2-11 (2.5/11), Boys 6-11 (3.5/15) and Girls 2-11 (1.9/9), tying ABC Kids (1.9/8). The network also ranked #1 over all Saturday morning competition among Tweens 9-14 (3.2/17) and Male Tweens 9-14 (4.5/22). Kids WB was the only broadcast network to finish with programs in the top 10 among all competition, including cable, in key demos. Among the broadcast competition, the network took the top seven program spots in Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11 and Boys 6-11, as well as the top four of seven spots in Tweens 9-14 and the top six of the top 10 spots in Male Tweens 9-14, both among all broadcast and cable competition. Kids WB also continues to broaden its audience, making significant year-to-year double- and triple-digit ratings/share gains versus last season's premiere morning in September 2004 across the Girl demos – Girls 2-11 (1.9/9, +90%/+80%), Girls 6-11 (2.2/10, +144%/+100%) and Girls 2-5 (1.4/7, +27%/+40%).
