Kikaida 01 DVD Box Set Release in Hawaii

SEQUEL TO THE EVER-POPULAR KIKAIDA SERIES TO BE RELEASED IN MAY

Honolulu, Hawaii - May 8, 2007 - JN Productions, the Hawaii-based media company, will release the final of its Japanese tokusatsu (live-action) series, the Kikaida 01 DVD Box Set on Friday, May 18, 2007.

“After lengthy negotiations with the Japanese producers, we're finally releasing the Kikaida 01 DVD Box Set,” said Joanne Ninomiya, JN Productions owner and president. “Robby Gaskell, DVD Producer of the past two box sets (Kikaida and Kame n Rider V3), has pulled all the plugs for this one, and tokusatsu fans will go wild over the special features. I'd also like to thank the staff at JN Productions and the countless number of Generation Kikaida members who contributed to the contents of the box set.”

Produced in 1973 by Toei Studio, NET-TV (now TV Asahi), and legendary author Ishinomori Shotaro, Kikaida 01 explodes with non-stop stunts by Sonny Chiba's Japan Action Club, and an exciting musical score by Watanabe Chumei. This limited-edition release of Toei's superhero classic is not to be missed.

All 46 electrifying episodes of this supercharged sequel to the extremely popular Kikaida series, are packaged together in this mind-blowing six-disc box set—digitally remastered, completely uncut, and fully subtitled in English—for the first time anywhere on Region 1 DVD.

The box set is also packed with special features which include exclusive interviews with actors Ikeda Shunsuke and Ban Daisuke, Kikaida Memories with Joanne Ninomiya, Karaoke & Music Videos, Behind-the-Scenes Episode Factoids, Kikaida 01 Interactive 3D Model, Trivia Quiz and much more.

The Kikaida 01 DVD Box Set will be sold in Honolulu by Shirokiya at Ala Moana Center and through the Generation Kikaida website.
