September 28, 2010
San Francisco, Calif. Crunchyroll, Inc., announced today the simulcast acquisition of Yumeiro Patisserie Professional, a sequel to the extremely popular girls-oriented anime title, Yumeiro Patisserie. Following-up on the title which has been simulcasting on Crunchyroll this past year and again animated by the legendary Studio Pierrot, the story continues with the adventures of Ichigo Amano (voiced by Aoi Yūki). Now in high school, Ichigo and the Sweet Princes work hard to polish their skills and get ready to join the ranks of professional patisseries. Though Ichigo herself may be a few years older, her sweets are just as fresh as ever! More information on the Yumeiro Patisserie franchise including free streaming episodes are available at http://www.crunchyroll.com/yumeiro now.
Crunchyroll Vice President of Licensing Rob Pereyda said: ³The first Yumeiro Patisserie series performed extremely well for us over the past year, especially with girls in high school and college, outperforming several high budget actions titles. Anime and manga are not just for boys and men, but for everyone, and the Yumeiro Patisserie franchise is exemplary of the strength of simply paying attention to girls and creating entertainment which they, too can enjoy. We look forward to the reception of Yumeiro Patisserie Professional.²
Yumeiro Patisserie Professional will be available in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Middle East.
