Pop Japan Travel Welcomes A-1 Pictures to the Re-branded "Anime Insider Tour"

Pop Japan Travel welcomes A-1 Pictures to the re-branded "Anime Insider Tour"

Gardena, CA (January 13, 2011) - Pop Japan Travel is pleased to announce an exclusive visit for their tour guests to A-1 Pictures, the studio behind such anime as Kannagi, Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), togainu no chi, Valkyria Chronicles and many more popular titles.

The tour will be part of the company's upcoming "Anime Insider Tour." Formerly known as the "Tokyo Anime Fair Tour", the name of the tour was changed in the interest of supporting the Japanese Animation industry after the recent passage of Bill 156 by the Tokyo Government. The tour will take guests to the brand new Anime Contents Expo at Makuhari Messe Convention Center, as well as an exclusive visit to Studio Pierrot (Naruto, Bleach) and all of the popular anime and manga-related hotspots of the Tokyo area. Both the A-1 Pictures tour and Studio Pierrot tour are exclusive to the Anime Insider Tour, and only guests of Pop Japan Travel will be able to attend.

"We are thrilled that we are able to visit A-1 Pictures for the Anime Insider Tour," says Gigi Guiting, PJT Director of Operations. "We were fortunate to get to work with Aniplex of America for our contest with Anime News Network, so we sincerely appreciate their generosity in being a part of this tour. We're positive our participants will be thrilled at the opportunity to see what it's like behind the scenes of their favorite shows." Guiting also took a moment to speak frankly about the developments that have affected the anime industry and piqued curiosity among anime fans worldwide: "We're aware that there are many opinions surrounding the passage of the new Youth Ordinance in Tokyo, but at the end of the day, we're most interested in giving our guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience of Japan and an in-depth look at the anime they love. We're intrigued by the spirit of the new Anime Contents Expo and are really looking forward to checking it out!"

In addition to the studio visits, the convention, and sightseeing at places such as Akihabara, Harajuku, and Nakano Broadway, the tour will hold a special cherry blossom viewing picnic during the tour to make the most of the season (weather permitting). Guests can also choose to join an extension that will take guests to Kyoto, Osaka, and other cultural treasures and trendy hotspots in the Kansai region.

The Anime Insider Tour is scheduled to depart on March 21 and returns on March 28 (or March 31 for people who take the optional extended trip to Kansai). The tour package includes all accommodations, round trip airfare to Japan from Los Angeles, full tours of every area visited, transportation, professional bilingual tour guides, entrance fees to all activities, the exclusive studio visits to A-1 Pictures and Studio Pierrot, a customized guidebook created exclusively for the tour, and more. Guests outside the Los Angeles area may also contact Pop Japan Travel to arrange flights to Japan from other destinations. People interested in taking the tour may visit www.popjapantravel.com/ or e-mail go (at popjapantravel.com) to sign up. All applications are due by February 21.
