Otakufest 2012 Returns to Maryland

Anime convention hosted in Ellicott City, MD on April 14 th 2012

ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND - March 6, 2012 – Centennial High School Anime Club is pleased to announce Otakufest 2012, a single day convention for anime fans on the East Coast, has been scheduled for April 14 th from 10am-6pm.

The convention is returning this year in response to the large turnout from previous years and numerous requests to become an annual convention. The con is designed to entertain otaku, gamers, and geeks alike with events running all day such as interactive workshops and panels, insane otaku challenges, photographer scavenger hunts, videogame tournaments, anime screenings, manga libraries, karaoke, a hall full of anime merchandise, and much more.

ABOUT OTAKUFEST : For the third year in a row, Otakufest (www.chs-otakufest.com) is coming to Maryland, attracting attendees from North Carolina to New York. Entirely hosted and organized by the Centennial High School Anime Club, Otakufest is a great way to meet local anime fans all the while enjoying a casual convention experience without the hassle of hotel expenses.

IMPORTANT: While submissions to the Artist Alley have been officially closed, Otakufest is still looking for more panelists. If you are interested in hosting a panel, please promptly contact us at [email protected] to ensure you get a slot.
