Nekocon announces Featured Panelists of 2013, Uncle Yo and the return of Lord Ramirez!
First in this years Featured Panelist line up Nekocon wishes to welcome new comer Uncle Yo, and the return of a fan favorite Lord Ramirez!
Karl "Uncle Yo" has performed his geek-centric stand-up comedy for the past six years, appearing at anime, video game and comic book conventions all over America. Because, let's face it, the geek have inherited the Earth, and someone has to celebrate it. Cosplay emcee, web actor and host of the weekly podcast, "We are the Geek," Yo appears at Nekocon ready and happy to meet you. Come as him about producing theater in New York City, working on the web series "The Justice Lease" or "Demo Reel."
See Uncle Yo performing live at the Comedy block on Friday, and other special events during the convention!
Not Easily missed with his outrageous outfits, Lord Ramirez is a presenter and educator at many Sci Fi, Anime, and Alternative conventions across the U.S. His unique set of skills allow him to fit right in wherever there is something unusual and fun.
His interest in Japanese culture began with his study of Karate at age five. Since then, that interest has led to immersing himself into many aspects of traditional Japanese culture, which he is very much interested in sharing.
At conventions, his topics vary wildly from costuming and makeup, dance, and traditional Japanese rope arts, which he has been studying and practicing for the past 19 years. You never know what he will teach next. But one thing is certain weird, strange, and fun, you can bet Lord Ramirez will have some knowledge to share!
