United States First Ever Tokusatsu Film Festival

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- JANUARY 14, 2014 The first Texas Toku Taisen organized by Mecha Gorilla and Alamo Drafthouse, will take place at the Park North Alamo Drafthouse location ( 618 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216) on May 15, 2014. The Texas Toku Taisen is a film festival dedicated to showcasing the presence of the Japanese film genre tokusatsu ending the festival with a showing of the new North American release of Godzilla. Passes are on sale right now on Mecha Gorilla's webstore www.mechagorilla.com/shop. Passes will be on sale until the end of January, starting at $35 for entry. The festival is primed to have vendors tables established for Heroes and Fantasies as well as live panels from Matt Frank of IDW's Godzilla: Rulers of Earth, Reuben Langdon of B-Fighter Kabuto and Devil May Cry fame, and many small tokusatsu production studios in the US such as Baby Under the Moon of Secondary Education fame, and Lobsterdance Productions.
