Starting with the pixiv platform itself, this collaboration will involve each and every service powered by pixiv, Inc. The core collaboration will commemorate the release of the movie Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, and is planned to run until June 2021.
The first stage of the project will be the “Evangelion” battle-like artwork competition, where creators on pixiv will join forces against a common enemy. This battle-like artwork competition will kick off on January 19th, 2021 (Tue). Every creator is more than welcome to post their Evangelion-themed illustrations.
The second stage will take place on the same day as the communication-via-drawing app, pixiv Sketch, will follow with its “Yurushito Coloring Project!” coloring contest.
On top of that, pixiv's website and logo (apps excluded) will undergo a time-limited design change, all Evangelion-themed.
Both stages will feature illustrations made just for the event from world-famous artists such as Timbougami, Zeronis, Vinne, Airi Pan, Grandia元, and many more, with the purpose to shine a spotlight illustrations.
The third and fourth stages being held on other pixiv-powered services will be announced in the coming days.
As pixiv's mission is to "create an exciting space for creators to enjoy creative activities", pixiv will continue to support creators and fans so that they can find and nourish their passions.
