Azur Lane Returns to World of Warships with 8th Wave of Content
April 30th, 2026 - Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the leading naval MMO World of Warships, is sailing into May with a brand new wave of content themed around the hit sidescrolling naval warfare game Azur Lane. Available until 17 June, this new collection marks the eight collaboration between World of Warships and Azur Lane, introducing an expansive lineup of new ships, skins, Commanders, and flags based on the popular mobile game.
Sail into battle in style with six themed ships
The return of Azur Lane sees six new vessels with themed skins arrive in World of Warships, including battleship AL Marco Polo, destroyer AL Tashkent, battleship AL Massachusetts, and aircraft carrier AL Shinano. Completing this lineup of naval power are two fan-favourite ships from World of Warships: Legends, cruiser AL Harbin and battleship AL Richelieu. Beyond adding these sleek ships to their fleets, players can acquire up to six corresponding Azur Lane commemorative flags to adorn their vessels and to sail into combat with style.
Eight new Azur Lane Commanders join the game
Alongside these vibrant vessels, eight popular Azur Lane characters join the lineup as new Commanders. Fans can look forward to the addition of Marco Polo, Tashkent, Massachusetts, Shinano, Tallinn, Harbin, Richelieu, and Asashio, ready to take the helm in battle. Each Commander features unique individual voiceovers, taking the experience to the next level.
A special Azur Lane Collection waits to be completed
Rounding out Wave 8 is a brand new Azur Lane Collection, with 20 elements to be found across five lists. As they progress through the collection, players will be able to unlock three special Azur Lane tileflage, and finishing the entire collection rewards players with an Azur Lane custom death animations, a special skin for the cruiser AL Tallinn and it's commander.
This update also brings a new permanent camouflage, Azur Lane - Wisdom Cubes, alongside permanent camouflages for Tallinn and Asashio, allowing players to further customize their fleet, and the contents of the Azur Lane: Ocean Guardians Premium containers have been refreshed, offering more for players to explore.
A history of collaboration
World of Warships and Azur Lane launched their first collaboration in 2018, introducing seven themed Commanders to the high seas– Aurora, Belfast, Cleveland, Enterprise, Admiral Hipper, Hood, and Nelson. This collaboration has paved the way for seven additional waves of content over the past eight years, expanding Azur Lane's presence in World of Warships across more than 35 Commanders, 15 ships and 20 skins, many of which remain fan-favourites to this day.
Azur Lane Wave 8 arrives as part of World of Warships' 15.3 update, which also introduces the brand new German Destroyer ZH-1 to the Dockyard, two standalone event passes filled with special rewards, and more for players to enjoy.
