Rating:

When you were young, you probably sat around with your friends joking about what kind of magic power you wanted and what you'd do with it. Probably being a preternaturally good actor without even trying was not one of the choices. For Ujin Kan, who sees a strange vortex when he opens up a printed script, this is exactly what happens.
Or, almost exactly what happens. What really happens is that Ujin lives through the experience as that character. In effect, he is not acting at all, he's simply experiencing that situation as that character experiences it. His “read-through”s are traumatic and confusing for someone unused to the world of acting.
Ujin's cold, impassive personality, paired with his newfound unearthly ability lands Ujin a role in a short movie, but unable to really comprehend what he's getting in to, Ujin just relies on impassive disinterest to land an obscene appearance fee. How his ability ability work going forward is up in the air after the first five compelling chapters of what is going to be an interesting mis od psychological drama and magic. Why Ujin? What about him drives the power? His world is our world, magic does not exist. Most critically, can he harness this ability to keep him functioning through the whole shoot?
We're so used to characters sent to another world, learning about their abilities as they grow up in that new environment. This is much more realistic in the sense that Ujin not only has no idea what this ability is, but also isn't familiar with the idea of magic-like powers, or the fantasy world of acting. The combination of reality and this unusual look at a magical ability makes for a really solid beginning to this K-Comic.
