Recently, I was out with my father just chilling at a bookstore. Bored, I went over to a neaby Best Buy, and saw a masive TV set-up with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 set up, and a bunch of guys were playing it. It looked really awesome, and I eventually just stayed there, watching them fight each other.
Later, I was checking out the Anime section of a Half-Price Books. Then, I got what is quite possibly the most ridiculous and awesome/stupid/both idea ever: A Marvel vs. Capcom style fighter, but with various anime characters as the playable fighters. While it would probably have to be quote zany and even more over-the-top than MvC 3 itself, the idea sounded so awesome that I've been thinking about it all day. While the chance of this happening is next-to-none, this would still be one of the coolest things ever. I can't be the only to think that watching a Kamina/Konata/Excel vs. Domon/Rei/Haruhi battle would be the most gloriously awesome thing ever. So....yeah. Does anyone else think this would be a cool idea? And before you mention it, yes, I know about Jump Ultimate Stars. This is something a little different. |

I think about this all the time, except I think of it in more of a Super Smash Bros style. I think it'd be really cool to be Revy and pull out a rocket launcher to blow up Kenshin. Or to have a mech match of Eva Unit 01 versus Gurren Lagann. The levels would consist of the battlegrounds with Ramiel and Unit 01 will try sniping you, on top of the De Danaan, in outer space, pokemon stadiums, and certainly one or two school-based levels among many others. Items would include laser guns, senzu beans, mech armor, and buttons that cause nosebleeds (they slow you down).
Now the character I'd choose is probably pretty obvious. When you look at my most used characters on all three of the SSB games, they are Marth, Roy, Ike, Link and Captain Falcon. Excluding the last one, I clearly have an affinity for sword users, and I think I'd stick to Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. He has a lot of speed with good power mixed in, much like Marth (who is from Fire Emblem in case people don't know). Although, my best character is Ike (also from Fire Emblem), who is the complete opposite of Kenshin since he's big, slow, and hits like train. And even though I've never seen the show, I think someone like Guts from Berserk would be my best character since he seems to fit that mold. Mugen would also get much usage because his fighting style would be insanely fun to play, much like Captain Falcon. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna play some Super Smash Bros Brawl. |

I still like Zac's idea of a super violent Mortal Kombat-style full roster Moe Showdown game. I'd pay twice the normal price for that!
And to make it even more depraved, instead of giving them aggressive or determined attitudes, they would retain the exact same attitudes they have in their respective shows. Whenever Ayu gets knocked down she yells "UUGUUUU!!" while blood splatters from the point of contact. After Mai decapitates Sora No Woto's Kureha, she says "That would be honey-bear." Ahhh, I'm a bastard |

Full Metal Alchemist VS. Soul Eater would be pretty sick. They'd have to nerf Mustang and Stein something awful though.

I like the idea, but their just way too many anime out there. Taking that Shonen Sunday VS Shonen Magazine PSP game as an example, out of 29 characters I only like 5 or 6 of them, the rest be damed.
That being said, I love Blazblue. Everyone should play BBCS2. |

I would pay any amount of money to get my hands on this if I could play as King Kazuma from Summer Wars (the rabbit guy).
Alternatively you could just play MUGEN and make your own characters. |

You are the only one
lol nah anyway, you can have anyone really. Gameplay is what matters. Just look at the melty blood series. BlazBlue too if you count that as an anime. Obviously the difficulty would be to find the cast. Most people who play fighters don't want to play a whiney 14 year old brat in high schhol clothes or a scantily clad preschooler (most of the anime cast). |

Mwuhuhaha! I would totally buy that. As for the thread topic, the idea is interesting but practically speaking it would be impossible to implement due to copyright laws and varying levels of strengths of characters. You'd have severely underpower certain characters or overpower others to match the more powerful ones. |

I've always really wanted a Shonen Jump VS Marvel or DC.

They really need to make a sequel to Jump Ultimate Stars for 3DS. Another good crossover game was Battle Stadium DON for Gamecube, which featured Naruto, Dragon Ball, and One Piece.

Sounds like a pretty awsome idea. If one were to be created, I would be one of the first people in line.

you want a Capcom Vs. game with anime characters instead of Marvel? Why not Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom for wii? It's been out for over a year.
