i challenge someone to prove this isn't the best looking anime made to date. anyone know how much this cost to make?

It was pretty low budget I think, which makes it even more amazing. Dunno the exact numbers. Anyways, when you compare it to Howl it's definite proof that money can't buy creativity.
On the back of my copy of Mind Game, it says something about Joel Silver (the Matrix producer) and a Hollywood remake and a couple kanji I don't know and am too lazy to look up...make of that what you will.

i think its already licensed for the USA, though the talk around this license said that they faces (photographic ones) used in the earlier parts of the film would be changed and some of the scenes cut / generally re-edited. so i would suggest picking up the subtitled japanese dvd that came out last december - theres 3 editions (see yesasia.com : recommended source) and the cheapest (standard edition) is about £20.
stunning film. best animation I've seen outside of studio ghibli.
