Is Angel Heart suppose to be linked to City Hunter in any way?

I have only seen bits and pieces of City Hunter, so I don't know the series that well, but you have a male Cop and his spoiler[dead] female partner that seems awfully familiar.
Both with looks and general attitudes.

Someways, yes. Angel Heart takes place a few years after the City Hunter Manga (Note: Manga, the anime went a different course at times.) As for as male "cop", Ryo, and spoiler[soon to be married, but dead] partner, Kaori. spoiler[Ryo considers Shan-In "Glass Heart" Lee as Kaori's daughter.] Another why you know for sure it's Ryo, Akira Kamiya lends his voice for him.

Looks connected to me. I don't remember which one, spoiler[but it was the one where she killed the guy quietly, and then his kid started trying to talk to him and he wouldn't respond,] that one really got to me.

I can understand that if Ryo, Umibouzu, and Sayoko make camoe appearance, but so far, Ryo and Umibozu had a major part in the story. spoiler[Ryou taking in Shan-In Lee and Falcone taking in Xin Hong Liu.]. If he had "denied any possible relationship between them, claiming that all identical persons and sceneries are coincidental.", it sounds more the TV Series is canon, much like the City Hunter anime series.

Note: I have seen past Ep 13, so it could change.

That could have been true for the manga, but it's not really true for the anime. I've only be watching it, not really reading it. Since one picked up the fumble from Rajin, I don't know if anyone is going bring over both Angel Heart, let own City Hunter.
