God knows how many spiky-haired characters there are in anime - they number the stars!

So, if they all have a similar hairstyle...it can only mean one thing...

Any ideas on what brand of hair-gel the likes of Son Goku, Naruto, Vash, and all the other cactus-doo dudes subscribe to?

C'mon, it can't be too hard! They even have the same hairdresser!

I think they were inspired by Mary (There's Something About Mary) . . .

No?

If it is true, I can never look at my spiky haired super heros the same way again.

I don't think it's hair-gel, they were just born with it. I know Goku just had "regular" look since he was little, but the spiky hair in Super Saiyan form was probably due to the "energy flowing through his body".

Vash was a weird one because I remember the episode after he spoiler[makes another hole on the moon and ends up living under a different name to escape everything], he gets a hair cut and he just spikes it with his hand. He reminded me of Benimaru from King of Fighters, only Benimaru made "more sense" because his power was electricity.

I think I heard that there was a hair-gel available to get your hair looking like anime characters. I know I read that somewhere. I wonder if this topic has enough to stay unlocked, I think it's really stupid but I have nothing better to do, but I know some people who would really have some great opinions.

It was called "Manga Head," and I don't think Garnier sells it anymore--they at least took it off of their site. They still have products that could give someone hair like those found in an anime, though.

I thought that manga head thing was a joke! It looked way to rediculous for someone to take seriously.

Perhaps the whole hair thing has a deeper meaning, for instance maybe the character designers thought it would be amusing as Japan is the "land of the rising sun" it should also be "land of the rising hair"

Or there again maybe it's just morning hair. Wink

Of course, spoiler[considering Vash isn't human], his hair might not really be the best example.

Basically, this is a case where logic really can't be applied to anime, just accept the pretty and be happy Anime hyper
