The way he character dresses changes difficulty not the weapon.
RSG said they won't release it or any other Cave shmup in the US or Europe, sales were too disappointing as far as Akai Katana Shin and DDPR are concerned.

RSG isn't a owned ait all by Grasshopper.
Also the game will be region free.
