As if a hot dog bun filled with spaghetti didn't look unappealing enough, they had to add that it's supposed to be Sadako's hair to the equation. 
On a different note, I don't know why Sadako would want to escape the well if it's full of never-ending delicious blue soda and gummy candy.

It's "based" upon yakisoba bread. Pretty common in Japan.
But I agree it doesn't look appealing.
