Guess I didn't get to place up a formal introduction.
I'm Don, but just about everyone on the web calls me Bata-kun/バタくん or some other nickname. If you haven't noticed, I am from San Jose. Whether or not I end up having a place in Tokyo, I don't know, but I know that I will have a place in Manila later on. Speaking of Tokyo, I will visit there in five months or so.
I don't remember how I found ANN. I'm like 70% sure it was thanks to John back when we were working with Anipike. Maybe higher.
I generally don't post a lot in forums. (I registered here a long time ago, but again, I don't post a lot in forums overall.) I would usually give some sort of news bit, an important private message or something like that. That would be it.
I have been an anime/manga fan for eight years. I like series such as "Love Hina", "Mangetsu o Sagashite", "Fruits Basket", "Great Teacher Onizuka" and "Taiho Shichau Zo". A good amount of the series I like are Kodansha series.
I have been a game fan for so long indicating that yes, I'm old. I am a fan of "Garou Densetsu", "Justice Gakuen", "Eternal Fighter Zero", "Metal Slug", "Puyo Puyo" and a bunch of other games. However, I don't plan on buying another video game system for a while; that is unless NEC somehow gets back into the competition. Oh. I personally own a Dreamcast, a Japanese Playstation 2, a GBA SP which I don't use anymore and the reason why I don't use my SP anymore pretty much: a Nintendo DS Lite.
Now these days, I run/help out various sites. I started a new site last month, though it's not much. I guess that's all for now.

Your formal introduction was a little random there. It's just kinda...all over the place. But hey, if you're into anime then this is the place to be. I suppose with an average of four posts per year it might be another month or three before we hear from you again, but here's a formal welcome in return anyway.

Hi there. It's nice to have a place like this to talk( mostly listen in my case) about anime and the entertainment it brings us.
I'm an art student and love the visual tradition that anime brings with it. So even though I'm not the biggest collector in the world I do take time to appreciate good anime titles and feel that ANN is a great way to keep up to date and informed on the latest from the world of anime.
By the way, can someone tell me if my animated avatar is working or is it just on my computer? I ask because I didn't notice a lot of animated avatars so far. Thanks.

Hey everyone. I've been coming to ANN for a while to get the latest news and such, but I've never posted before ('lurking', I've been told). I thought that it was time to contribute to various discussions. So, I'm here!

Your Samurai Jack avatar appears to be working fine from my side. His mouth is opening and closing, and I can see the wind effects behind him in the background.

Always nice to see some longtime lurkers decide to jump into the fray on the forums; it's less work to bash the fascist, draconian rules into the minds of people who've been reading the forums for awhile

Well I'm Shonen bat. But I'm also known as Animeboye. I'm a regular here.
My favorite anime include One Piece, Disgaea, Hellsing, and FMA. I'm currently working on a manga of my own which is already on its tenth chapter(Yayness). Feel free to PM me if you're intrested in my manga. I also love music(namely rock, j-pop and rap(mostly Eminem), horror movies, and cards as well as dragons.
And Zalis, what do you mean by "Draconian rules"? Are dragons in charge of ANN? Dragons are cool.

I think it was mentioned in one of the (maybe this one) announcement threads...Zac was being sarcastic when he was talking to someone who said he was being to harsh with the rules...I think.
Edit: Hmm looks like I was wrong "Draconian rules" must be something he made up, but he meant it sarcastically to mean we have tough rules (which to some this may be true).

Yeah I know. I was just joking about that.
Still it'd be pretty cool if this site were run by dragons. I <3 Dragons.

Hi everyone. I am SakuraSweetie, but you can all call me Kate.
I'm 21 years old and I live in Michigan, as you can see, lol. I haven't been into anime for that long, only about 2 1/2 years or so. I'm not sure exactly how I got into it but I'm really glad I did.
My first anime was Card Captor Sakura and it is still one of my favorites. My other favorites include Ouran High School Host Club and Tsubasa Chronicle. I own the mangas of both of them. Excellent mangas if you haven't read them. Other animes I enjoy are Chobits, AIR, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inu Yasha, Naruto, XxXHolic, Nana and Ultra Maniac. I haven't seen all of most of them, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far.
I'm going to college as an English major and I'm going to switch to a Business minor. I hope to someday own my own bookstore. I work in one right now and I really love it. It has allowed my manga collection to grow considerably.
Well, I guess that's all I have to say. Sorry for the long intro. Ja ne minna-san!

How's it?
My name is Cabamalan (Last name), I'm 17 and I've been into anime for at least 12 years. Earliest shows I can remember watching is Ronin Warriors and Sailor Moon. A few of my Favorites are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Azumanga Daioh, Full Metal Panic, Trinity Blood and Samurai X. Tend to appreciate Mecha, Slice of LIfe, Vampire and Samurai based anime more than others
