muhahah Luffy has to be one of the best anime characters in existance, i hadnt seen anything on this so i felt that i should rightly do so as this anime is so sweet, also if anyone knows of any word on it getting licesnced or looked at by companies, yosha!

Yes, it's been licensed by FUNimation. And I think that the anime'll be here in 2004. But right now you can pick up Shonen Jump, which has One Piece. Or Graphic Novels 1 & 2 (2 being the OP book that's colored green).

yeah i seen that they been coming out, u know how many eps the anime is gonna end up being?

The show has not, i repeat, not been officially announced as a Funimation liscense. That being said, it is almost a guarantee that Funi will announce it soon, seeing as how Toei is producing it.

As for episode count: The last episode to air was 174 (175 should air this sunday-NOV 31st) The current story arc in the manga just ended at chapter 300. This arc will most likely end around episode 200. There is at least one more major story arc after this. Expect at least another 100 eps for the series.

I've only seen the first dozen or so episodes but I have to agree that One Piece is a fantastic show and I'm looking forward to it getting licenced. I've already brought the first Manga but Amazon.co.uk isn't supplying the second right now Crying or Very sad

200+ episodes for the anime though. I hope funimation release more than 3 eps per disk or it'll cost a fortune to collect. Very Happy

One Piece is an awesome series and I love it whether it be manga or anime. Surely FUNi will most likely pick it up, as I can't see any other company licensing it. I CAN'T WAIT! Anime exclamation

Funi will probably do what they did with DBZ, namely, releasing box sets at reasonable prices. Something like 10-15 episodes for $50. Still, you probably only want to get the arcs you like the most, and not the whole thing. It'll still cost you an arm and a soul.

i know now that shonen jump is doing the manga for this, but does anyone have an idea on how long it takes for them to come out with each book?
