I thought this would be something like Dissidia. But it looks like it's actually a bit different. Really disappointed to hear there's no story in it.
Anyway, it's great to find an article by Richard on ANN.

unfortunately the real crop of FGO's price is that the whole thing have aniplex's stench all over it since only they would have products THIS FREAKING EXPENSIVE!
also its popularity is the actually newer servants like ishtar (who looks more or less a rin knockoff) and god forbid the crossdressing otokonoko astofolo and not others like saber or even apocrypha's jeanne!

Yeah, IIRC Fate/GO has drop rates for some characters that are in the decimal points. We're talking 0.0001% drop rates here!
The lowest drop rate I've ever seen in Fire Emblem Heroes was 3%, which gets doubled for certain events.

that's not how any of that works, and what you just said is completely misinformed and factually wrong. all characters besides angra have the same drop rates and none of them are that low. It also depends on if they have for a period of time a banner or not, the chances to get them increases (if they aren't limited that is). just like any other soshage, they have periods where they increase the chance to get certain servants on these banners. But the drop rates for certain servants have never been 0.0001%. the most difficult servant you can get is angra, and you can only pull him from the friend point gacha.

and how its that even possible?
unless there was an alternate version of the UBW route where it was she that made the contract with that thing and NOT shiro , or it turns out she's the illya version of rin, then i highly doubt that. i don't want to make the same mistake TWICE with fate/extra ccc when it turned out that B.B wasn't actually a servant version of sakura
