I think Minazuki went with a fanservice heavy introduction (not to say the rest of the series has none tho) cause it's much more in line with the author's previous work, Sora no Otoshimono. I find Plunderer to be a mix between it and Watashi no Messiah-sama + Judas.

I understand the reviewer's points, but I like the creator's work, and I have no problem with fan service even in non-comedy works.

Weird. Never realized the Heaven's Lost Property manga never got an official translation.
