After I ploughed through all the volumes that had been released by about 4 weeks into the new anime it's now tortuous that D&Q only put out one a year. That being said, the long story in this volume, the one with Mizuki meeting his creations was worth the wait.

The story about Mizuki meeting Kitarou in a cafe appears as episode ten of the noitaminA adaptation, Hakaba Kitarou. This episode is titled "Brigadoon," which recurs in the Backbeard arc of GeGeGe no Kitarou (2018). Mizuki appears again in episode eleven.
