We've come along way from the original games where you used a bike to travel between towns to now being able to use a train station to travel.

I am excited on how we can travel everywhere at the train right now, this game makes it more like an open world and more like an Sims 4 game-like

I'm in the same position where I'm just now getting back into the Pokemon games and started playing them again when the Let's Go games came out when I hadn't been a regular Pokemon player for years due to not having a 3DS. I'm looking forward to getting back more into the mainline games.

Gold (?), Silver (?), Crystal? Not exactly between cities, but rather between 2 regions.

I've played at least one game in every Gen, and I'm not going to stop now. I'm looking forward to getting this and making a brand new team.

As mentioned above, I haven't played many Pokemon games since the originals, so I wouldn't know those elements are in those games.
