I can't believe they're going all out for what's easily the weakest part of the anime. Instead of wasting all that time and energy on Frill storyline they could have cut all of that out and instead use that time to give a proper conclusion to AI storyline and they'd be done with no need for special finale. Heck, even with what's already done you could probably make a decent conclusion by just cutting out content.

Expected this, but its good to get confirmation. Cant wait. Easily my favorite show this season.

As I understand it’s not a ‘special episode” per say but the actual intended last episode. The recap episode wasn’t originally planned.
That said I have no idea how they’ll manage to successfully wrap this up in one episode.
