Island of Assassins is more or less the best TT special and one of the edgier. Good for it.

Island of Assassins will always be my favorite Lupin special. I’m glad it still has a lot of love in Japan. I love that the series takes risks every now and then to give us something a bit more intense than usual.

It airs in a primetime slot ahead of perennial chart favourite Detective Conan. Unless it had a viewership implosion (like we saw with the new Digimon shows on Fuji TV versus Kitaro and DBS) it was always going to be on this list. |
