It looks like Nintendo is off to a good start, the weekly ranking is made up entirely of Switch games, and the OLED has already sold almost a million units much faster than the PS5. It will be interesting to see if this year the Switch's sales will slow down, the console is already in its fifth year but there are quite a few games that could attract people, such as Pokémon Legends, Kirby and, if it doesn't get delayed, BotW 2.
On the other hand, Sony has lost a lot of influence in the Japanese market, very few of their games have appeared in the weekly software charts and the console's sales itself are very low, which can be justified due to the manufacturing problems Sony is facing, but looking at the lack of software sales it seems very few people actually own a PS5, most of consoles are being bought to resell them to other countries. I'm sure this could affect third-party developers, some companies like Square-Enix and Capcom already focus more on the western market but many of the small companies that depend on the Japanese market and don't publish their games on the Switch are going to lose a lot of sales.
