I never expected to see Edward Snowden talk about an anime, let alone 86, but I guess I can see the correlation?

Famous people talking about anime really isn't a surprise anymore. It seems like everyone likes anime. But seeing someone as influential as Snowden talk about a relatively niche anime that also happens to be my favorite anime of 2021, 86, is pretty freaking cool.

Interestingly, Snowden was actually a member of an anime club in his college days and helped out with a small fansubbing operation, too; he's been a fan for a while. He spends the better part of a chapter in his memoirs talking about his early love for the medium.

IKR? I suppose if you really want to keep it under wraps, you can watch anime without people every finding out. So in theory, if you never say, people never know. Whenever I tell people I watch loads of anime, people are always surprised and like you watch anime? I didn't think you are "that type". Yeah, dunno what type they are really referring to....
