I really enjoyed Vigilantes so I trust this duo. But unfortunately we probably won't get a simulpub because of Marvel :/ Best we can hope for is the volumes years later like Deadpool manga.

Sort of - this seems to be a take on the Superior Spider-Man storyline that ran in the comics about ten years ago, where a dying Doctor Octopus ends up in Peter Parker's body and decides to become a, well, "Superior" Spider-Man. |

The most pointless take on Superior Spider-Man possible?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Superior_Spider-Man I get why Otto´s comic reform was undone but the way it was done in 2019 suuucked. There was a female version of Doc Ock that isn´t Otto but the Spider-verse gender bender take should be inspired by the female Ock from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions who also isn´t a female take on Otto. All of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Octopus The wiki article will get a new entry very soon regardless of that and the premise only begins to make sense if the female Ock from the film is Isekaied and not a new male one. She was hit by a truck during a dimension breakdown. The team has me anti-hyped though. Peni Parker was in a single issue of an event mini before she made her film debut. The film´s most random pull but a welcome one. |
