Nice cast additions.

Quote:
The trailer previewed the opening theme song "Kaishin no Ichigeki" (Critical Hit) by the band Glay, and the ending theme song titled "Protect You" by BAND-MAID.

Well, I was hoping for angela to perform the OP song, but Glay is a great choice. As for the ED song, BAND-MAID is certified. I don't need to watch the video. I know both songs are good.

Wataru Takagi as Blacky

Good thing Nintendo isn't involved.

Say what you want about visuals, and character designs (I think they look good, and fitting for 2020s), but that IS some great star seiyu cast.

Good thing that they are reviving Grendizer, but as much as I love anime remakes, I can never watch them before seeing originals first, so I will most likely watch this one at the end of my eventual Go Nagai order of release marathon.

Hopefully someone, in the meantime, also translates Dororon Enma-kun from 1973.

I wasn’t expecting them to have Mazinger Z in this. It’s going to require some balance so it contributes without overshadowing.

WOW! So Koji is the pilot Of Mazinger this time? Last time Duke was the Only Super Robot Pilot! Awesome! Between Grendizer U and The New PS4 Grendizer Game, 2024 will be a Great Year. Now if the Original Series could get a release on Blu ray in the US, it would be fantastic.

Agreed, I just finished that game yesterday and it has me interested in the original show now.

The game was fun but it's easy to tell it was meant for current gen, especially since it was released two weeks and two days after the others (PS5 was Tuesday, November 14th while PS4 was Thursday, November 30th).

I wouldn't be surprised if it quickly gets revealed that Mazinger Z is in the midst of being repaired after a massive battle & isn't ready to use, so we still get Kouji piloting the TFO to support Duke & Grendizer, and then for the final battle Mazinger will be fully repaired, allowing for the two giant robots to team up at the end.

Go Nagai Mecha return!

I'm curious how new viewer friendly this show will be.

Is this a remake?
A new series?
A remake with liberties?

This looks way better than I thought it would be.
