Is this the first time the original Pretty Cure anime’s English dub is finally getting released? Or at least the first time in forever it’s being made available again?

Toei somehow forgot about the certain Powerpuff Girls anime.

I was so worried, most news sites didn't report this. I was scared it was going to go by unpromoted.

A couple of things

-Will they stream all episodes (or all of what was dubbed for Doremi since that was never finished)?

-Ignoring the quality of the clips, I'm curious what they're using for the Pretty Cure episodes since they have been known to send companies TV rips for stuff where the rating is baked in the masters (see most Digimon DVDs and also the Ultimate Muscle SD Blu-ray). With Toei having produced the dub themselves, that would make it seem that they would have a better source than what's online but I guess we'll see on Saturday.

Digimon should be good on this front thanks to Discotek's AstroRes upscale but it would be funny if they don't use that for this.

My only question is if this means Doremi will finally be streamed subtitled somewhere.

So is Toei washing their hands of "Glitter Force" then and pretending it never existed?

This dub is from 2009, but failed to find a home in the US market. It's probably what lead to the more heavy handed localization on Glitter Force.

4Kids did finish dubbing the entire first season (with the exception of one episode they skipped). It's just that they released the second half online, which later did get a television broadcast on the CW4Kids.

Probably not, judging from the trailer it's all English dub clips.

@YagamiBlackstone255
Yeah I've checked a few socials elsewhere mentioning it, but no news sites that I go to pick it up, until now for ANN.

@NJ_
Basically as what Ming Yi said for Doremi. As for Pretty Cure, yeah, let's see how the quality/transfer will be. For Digimon though, if they get the same ones that was on the Digimon blu-rays, then that's perfect. But you know, its Toei if they use theirs, lol.

@Ojamajo LimePie
Doubtful...and I don't see it happening.

Oh really? Weird to have them as online-exclusive.....but then again, it eventually airing through CW sounds better compared how the end of Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight was handled.

Doremi didn't finish the second half of the series on The CW. It aired there but got replaced.

Also I hope Toei does what Saban did and buy HUGE ADS for Pretty Cure on Animenewsnetwork.

Nameless Office Cubicle Guy, who ran the official 4Kids YouTube channel, wrote on his blog that the show got taken off air because it got low TV ratings, so they ended up releasing the rest of the episodes on the official 4Kids website.

I really enjoyed the Canadian dub of OG Pretty Cure but never expected it to resurface so this is neat. I hope Toei streaming the Doremi dub will eventually lead to a sub of the show being released and for the Looking for Doremi movie to finally be licensed. It's weird the movie was released in the UK and even had a MENA region produce dub for it but was never released in the US.

Going by the masters they use on Hulu, I imagine Digimon will be the old Cinedigm DVD masters. Speaking of Digimon, Toei also recently released the Fusion dub on Microsoft Store and they're also going to release the Latin American dub of Adventure and 02 in the US through the Microsoft store as well.

People are now being nostalgic about the Doremi dub all of a sudden when back in the 2000s, the ceo of 4kids called the girls in the show in an interview the s-word.
